Chris Grant named CEO of Sported
Sport for development charity Sported has named Chris Grant, former vice chair of UK Sport's International Inspiration Foundation, as its new chief executive.
Grant joins Sported with more than 20 years' experience in the fields of strategy and performance, programme management, coaching and change.
His experience leading organisations spans a broad spectrum of industries - including being on the board of the Chip & PIN Programme, one of the UK's most complex multi-stakeholder projects of recent years.
He was also lead facilitator on UK Sport's elite coach development programme and was a member of the board of the Youth Sport Trust.
As CEO, Grant will be responsible for the strategic leadership and growth of Sported, in addition to the on-going development of the charity's membership offering.
Sir Keith Mills, founder and chair of trustees of Sported, said: "Chris has a strong track record leading organisations and implementing change, but more importantly, through his experience at International Inspiration and Youth Sport Trust, a comprehensive understanding of the sport for development sector and the challenges of our members.
"His knowledge, industry contacts and facilitation skills will be a huge asset for Sported."
