ERL unveils new gym chain partnership
England Rugby League's (ERL) national and elite junior squads are to benefit from facilities at Total Fitness clubs as part of a new three-year agreement.
The new partnership is designed to help the teams in the build up to the 2013 World Cup, while also providing specialist support such as physiotherapy and strength and conditioning for players. Warrington Wolves and England prop Adrian Morley said: "This is something we've been badly lacking in the past and it could make the difference between winning and losing.
"The mornings after games will definitely see us using the facilities to help recovery, while at other times we can use the cardio-vascular equipment for general fitness work." ERL performance programmes manager Nic Corrigan added: "Total Fitness has a unique blend of facilities, especially their unrivalled pools and hydro pools at clubs throughout the country."
