Queen's Birthday Honours list announced
A number of leisure industry representatives are among the list of people that have been recognised as part of the 2010 Queen's Birthday Honours.
British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA) chief executive Colin Dawson has been awarded an OBE, along with England Squash president Jacqueline Robinson; the chair of the Heritage Lottery Fund in Wales, Dan Clayton Jones; British Triathlon Federation chief executive officer Zara Hyde Peters; and Shane Sutton, Cycling GB's track performance manager. Bunbury English Schools Cricket Association founder David English; the coach of the England women's football team, Hope Powell; former Tate Britain director Stephen Deuchar; and former Royal Yachting Association chief executive Rodney Carr are among the recipients of CBEs.
Meanwhile, MBEs have been awarded to Winter Olympic gold medallist Amy Williams; Irish cricketer Kyle McCallan; former Grangemouth Amateur Swimming Club coach Reginald Adams; Ruth Clarke, community learning manager London at the National Trust; and Susan Harmsworth, founder and chief executive of spa and skincare company ESPA.
