Kent County Cricket Club's (KCCC) ground at Beckenham will undergo a redevelopment after the proposals were given the green light by the London Borough of Bromley.

The council's development control committee has approved the proposed renovation of the county standard ground, which includes improved sports facilities and new housing.

New all-weather pitches, an indoor multi-use training centre, a health and fitness centre and improved permanent spectator seating is proposed, along with a small conference venue.

However, the final decision will be subject to any direction from London mayor Boris Johnson.
