£450k revamp for central London leisure centre
BY Pete Hayman

Work has started on a £450,000 refurbishment of the changing rooms and indoor pool hall at Oasis Sports Centre in central London, which is due for completion by 23 July.

Oasis Sports Centre is to remain open throughout the entire 14-week renovation period and Camden Council has said the project will be finished in time for the start of the 2012 Olympic Games.

The scheme has initially focussed on the male changing room, with part of the female room having been partitioned in order to create temporary facilities for male users.
