Crown overhaul changing rooms at Saunton Sands spa
Saunton Sands Hotel in Devon, UK, has completed a £2m expansion of its spa and wellness facilities.
The upgrade included a complete overhaul of the changing areas and treatment rooms which was carried out by changing room specialist Crown Sports Lockers.
In keeping with the spa's luxurious and contemporary decor, Crown installed Grain of Nebraska Oak clothes lockers with RFID Digilocks, as well as wet and dry vanities surfaced with crisp white Corian tops and upholstered seating.
The company also fitted out six treatment rooms, five singles and one double, with floor-to-ceiling cupboards, counters and trolleys.
Adrienne Brend, the project manager behind the new spa, said: "Crown's adaptability came into play during the fitout. They were able to reposition the wash basins in the ladies vanity area to create a slimline cupboard for hand towels. It was a case of adapting as we went along."
Every locker houses a dressing gown, towel and flip flop, Brend explains: "Our changing areas are vital in presenting the right first impression for guests, they are the beginning of the experience."
Sam Palmer, project manager at Crown Sports Lockers, said: "This is a job we can be really proud of, the hotel is beautifully situated with great sea views and the new Source Spa & Wellness is a facility to die for. A lovely project to be involved with."
Brend added: "Crown were a delight to deal with throughout, I was well impressed with their professionalism. Like us, they like everything to be perfect. From start to finish their service was brilliant as was their after care service. I couldn't fault them."
