Adventure Activity Team Leader

Full-Time, Permanent

- Hours: Full-Time (average 37hrs p/w – more hours worked in the summer than winter)
- Days: 5 days over 7 – weekend and school holiday work required
- Times: Hours tbc between 9am and 7.30pm (earlier finish in winter)
- Location: Brockhole on Windermere, between Ambleside and Windermere
- Contracts: Permanent, Annualised Hours
- Salary: c. £20,500 per annum

2021 was a record breaking year for Brockhole on Windermere, the Lake District Visitor Centre, and we are now expanding our adventure activity and boat hire offer even further. We are therefore seeking an enthusiastic and charismatic person to join our fantastic Adventure Activity and Boat Hire team as a Team Leader.

We are the main visitor centre for the Lake District National Park, with 300,000 visitors a year, and our gorgeous Arts and Crafts House is set in 30 acres of landscaped gardens on the shores of Lake Windermere – what’s not to love!

You will need previous experience in a similar or comparable role, and we will provide full training. You need to want to learn, be willing to work hard and to inspire both customers and your team with enthusiasm and a smile – whatever the weather!

This has to be one of the best jobs in the Lakes – working outdoors, leading fun activity sessions such as archery, laser clay shooting, krazy karts or hiring boats, kayaks and paddle boards to thousands of happy holiday makers.

This is a great way to develop your outdoor activity career further, learn easily transferable leadership skills and to earn good money in a fun and friendly environment.

You will work more hours in the summer, running activities then transferring to administration, recruitment and equipment/boat maintenance over the winter.
