An exciting and rare opportunity has arisen for a leisure professional to lead our management team and launch a commercial program within a new sports centre.

Oundle School Sports Centre is a new dual use sports centre including a multiple workstation fitness-suite, a 50-metre swimming pool, 8 court sports hall and 4 studios, which is accessed by 1220 pupils, in addition to members and general public use.

We are seeking an experienced manager to lead a small management team, who will be the foremost expert on the leisure industry and accountable for strategic planning and outcomes of all Centre activity.

Applicants must demonstrate their relevant experience to manage the Centre and drive the business, taking autonomous decisions and providing solutions to issues that arise.

You will manage six key areas:

• Business planning, budgeting and performance reporting including EBITDA
• Implementing a vibrant activity and commercial programme from marketing strategy to delivery
• Balance the School and commercial timetable to maximise use and profitability
• Leadership, and staff development
• Health, Safety and Safeguarding
• Stakeholder management

You will develop effective working relationships with all stakeholders to meet respective aspirations of access and commercial targets.

As a professional manager you will create a positive and enthusiastic environment through training and development of staff. You will demonstrate creativity, leadership and an understanding of the business of health, leisure and fitness.

Salary £40,000 – £45,000 per annum.
