Sun Safe Play Systems has added the Sound Stick to its portfolio, bringing interactive sound to water play applications.

Each Sound Stick, a bollard-like apparatus, houses a button and a speaker, the button triggering a sound which can be customised to suit any play environment. The sound can also be activated through a combination of single or multiple floor or wall mounted pads.

The system works by the Sound Stick sending a signal to a control panel which houses the programmable controller and sound card. Each card can hold up to 24 minutes of sound, anything from a welcome message to a noise relating to a theme. Multiple messages can also be played, activated from different pads.

The Sound Stick is made from stainless steel with a special aliphatic urethane coating and both deck and wall mounted pads conform to BS EN1177 and are installed to EN1176 standards.

Available in seven different colours, the Sound Stick bollard can be erected to any height to suit specific requirements.
