Hilton makes Kazakhstan debut with wellness hotel in capital Astana
Hilton Hotels & Resorts has entered the booming Kazakhstan tourism market with the opening of a 253-bedroom spa hotel in the country’s capital city.
The Hilton Astana will target both local and international travelers with a focus on wellness, with facilities including a large eforea-branded luxury spa.
Covering an area of more than 1,900sq m (6,234sq ft), the eforea spa at Hilton Astana is one of the city's largest spas, featuring nine treatment rooms, a sauna area including steamrooms, a Turkish bath (hammam), an indoor swimming pool and a 24-hour health club.
Hilton's strategy aims to benefit from the fast-growing demand for luxury accommodation in the city of Astana, which recently hosted Expo 2017 on the future of energy.
The Kazakhstan government used the three-month Expo to highlight its development-friendly agenda and to raise the country’s profile as a destination internationally.
"We're delighted to have opened Hilton Astana, which is poised to become a destination in its own right in the city, offering travelers from across the globe unmatched experiences and hospitality," said Stephan Reiter, general manager, Hilton Astana.
"Guests can relax in the spacious eforea spa or take advantage of the events space that is perfect for meetings and gatherings of all sizes."
