August launch for Taj Lake floating spa experience
The Taj Lake Palace resort in Udaipur, India, is to add to its wellness offering with a new spa boat.
Launching in August, the Taj Spa Boat has been created to celebrate the traditions of Indian royalty. It will enable guests to travel across Lake Pichola while receiving signature spa experiences.
Featuring two treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge, steambath and shower, the boat has been designed with Indian motifs in the same style as the traditional royal ceremonial boats and congruent to the style of Taj Lake Palace hotel.
There will also be an outdoor deck with views across the Aravallis mountains as well as a whirlpool and further relaxation areas.
Guests will be able to hire the boat for either a half or a full day of spa. A range of different experiences will be available, including a Sunset Spa Escapade and a Monsoon Revival Spa Experience.
The Taj Lake Palace is located in the middle of Lake Pichola. Designed to resemble the Taj Mahal, the Lake Palace was first built on the four-acre island in 1746 by Maharana Jagat Singh II, the 62nd successor to the royal dynasty of Mewar, who were believed to be descendants of the Sun God.
