BAHA changes name, appoints new president
The British Association of Hospitality Accountants (BAHA) has rebranded as Hospitality Professionals Association for Finance, Revenue Management and IT (HOSPA) and appointed a new president to lead the organisation.
Robert Cook, chief executive of Malmaison and Hotel du Vin Hotels has been named the new president of the association. He replaces David Cook (no relation), the former CEO of CHE Hotel Group, in the post.
BAHA, set up in 1969, was a non-profit educational organisation whose aim was to be the voice in the hospitality industry on financial management, technical accounting issues, taxation, and hotel valuation.
The rebranding as HOSPA will see the organisation expand its membership base and add the fields of hotel systems and revenue management.
