BOA appoints new head of media
The British Olympic Association (BOA) has announced that Miriam Wilkens has been appointed head of media.
Wilkens will lead media activity for the BOA and will manage the media team of Team GB at future Olympic, Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games.
She joins the BOA from the International Paralympic Committee (IPC), where she was director of media and communications.
BOA chief executive Simon Clegg said: "I am delighted to welcome Miriam to the BOA at such an exciting time in the organisation’s history. Miriam’s extensive experience working for the IPC and her knowledge of the Olympic Movement will prove invaluable.
"I am confident that Miriam will make a substantial contribution as we seek to deliver British Olympic success, particularly in London 2012.”
Wilkens said: "I look forward to working with the British media to help build the profile of the BOA, Team GB and the Olympic movement in Great Britain and worldwide.”
