Barnsley Premier launches kids membership scheme
Barnsley Premier Leisure has launched a new membership system and fitness classes for young people.
The 360* membership offers children over the age of eight unlimited access to its fitness facilities, including the Barnsley Metrodome’s Space Adventure swimming pool and Alphies Playzone area.
The membership scheme also includes half-price holiday camps, a free birthday party for the member plus five guests and a variety of monthly events.
It also includes regular fitness classes specifically designed for children and Teen Gym sessions where teenagers can get personal fitness instruction and programming.
Stuart Lockwood, general manager of Metrodome, said: “This is the first time we have developed fitness classes for kids and we believe it will prove very beneficial for many of the region’s youngsters.
Staff from Barnsley Metrodome also recently raised more than £2,000 to pay for defibrillators by taking part in the Yorkshire Three Peaks Walk.
Joining the 30 staff in the 23.5-mile challenge was a 76-year-old Metrodome member, Alan Lamb.
