The Big Dance Bus will be coming to the Covent Garden Piazza on Tuesday 10th July, thanks to support from Jubilee Hall Trust and NHS Westminster.

The Big Dance 2012 is a biennial festival which will feature 9 days of dance in unusual spaces throughout the UK – shopping centres, parks, galleries, and lidos – showcasing the diversity of dance styles in the capital and across the country.

The event will take place across the UK from 7-15 July 2012 and includes a 7-week countdown period starting on 18 May 2012 as part of London 2012 Festival – the finale of the Cultural Olympiad.

The Big Dance Bus is a converted London Double Decker featuring a portable 10m x 10m dance floor as well as professional sound system and DJ.

The event on Tuesday 10th July will include performances from professional dance companies as well as schools and community groups, and the opportunity to participate in dance workshops.
