Blubeckers – the pub restaurant division of The Restaurant Group – has acquired the Refectory public house in Milford near Godalming, Surrey.

The former Chef and Brewer managed house is due to be refurbished, following the deal arranged by Christie + Co, whose director of corporate pubs, Neil Morgan, said: “As Blubeckers progresses with its ambitious expansion plans, its thirst for food-led public house premises continues unabated.

“We will continue to work with Blubeckers to identify further acquisition opportunities as they roll out the brand.”

The Refectory comprised part of the 637 former Spirit portfolio transferred from Punch Tavern’s managed division to its leased estate by Christie + Co in 2006.

The Restaurant Group acquired Blubeckers from CI Traders in 2005 and has since expanded with a further 20 pub restaurants based in the Home Counties.
