Bond’s next mission: wow the crowds at New York’s Spyscape
James Bond, the world’s most iconic fictional secret agent, is to be the subject of a new immersive exhibition and experience at New York spy museum Spyscape, opening early in 2019.
Spyscape has teamed up with EON Productions, the UK production company that makes the James Bond movies, and Metro Goldwyn Mayer (MGM) Studios to deliver the 007-themed attraction, which will have only a limited run at the 60,000sq ft (5,500sq m) Manhattan venue.
No further information about the exhibition, which will be New York’s first ever official James Bond experience, has yet been revealed, but Skyscape said that tickets would go on sale soon.
The experiential spy museum itself opened in February 2018, and was designed by Sir David Adjaye. Developed by a ‘world class’ team of curators, designers, gamers, hackers, intelligence professionals, investigative journalists and psychologists, Spyscape features interactive “Spy Challenges” that allow visitors to test their own spy skills and build up a spy profile held on an RFID wristband. This profile is then analysed at a debrief stage, where they discover which of 10 archetypal spy roles they are best suited to.
