CPL to sell its Tunnel and Cube nightclubs
CPL Entertainment Group, the Glasgow-based live music venue operator, intends to sell off two of its nightclubs in order to focus on its core business.
The Cube and Tunnel nightclubs – on Queen Street and Mitchell Street respectively – are predominantly popular with House and R&B fans and CPL wants to concentrate on the rock and student market, catered for by its Garage and Cathouse venues.
The Cube, which is a leasehold property, has an asking price of £400,000 while the Tunnel, a freehold, has a price tag of £2.6m.
Alan Creevy from Creevy LLH Chartered Surveyors, which has been appointed to handle the sale, said: “We have no doubt that there will be considerable interest in both these units from Scottish and UK-wide operators keen to capitalise on their locations and reputations. Both are achieving high levels of sales of profitability.”
