CTFC postpones racecourse stadium plans

Cheltenham Town Football Club's (CTFC) plans to relocate to a new stadium at the town's racecourse have been shelved after it was decided the move was not financially viable.
The npower League Two club has worked alongside the horseracing venue and Cheltenham Borough Council to investigate the project, which was found to be "physically viable".
However, it has been revealed the cost of the moving to a new stadium are "prohibitive" at present and CTFC will now explore improvements to its existing Whaddon Road ground.
