Choice Hotels International (CHI) has revealed plans to expand its Cambria Suites portfolio with new US openings in Houston, Texas; Washington DC; and White Plains, New York.

In White Plains, CHI will be working in partnership with Meyer Jabara Hotels and will lead to a 130-room property forming part of a wider mixed-use scheme on 250 Main Street.

It is anticipated that the construction of the hotel part will get underway in March 2012, with opening scheduled for September 2013.

Elsewhere, CHI is working alongside Concord Hospitality and Roadside Development on a 127-room property in Houston and a 182-room hotel in Washington DC.

Each of the new Cambria Suites hotels will boast the Refresh fitness centre with a pool and a hot tub/spa area, along with its Reflect casual dining option.
