Image: A Cense-branded spa will open in due course

Centara Hotels and Resorts has announced the opening of a new resort under its Centra value brand - Centra Coconut Beach Resort Samui - on the Thai island of Koh Samui.

The property provides accommodation across 53 bedrooms and villas, with facilities including two swimming pools, the Beach Bar and the Coconut restaurant offering a combination of Thai and international cuisines.

A Cense by Spa Cenvaree - the group's fast-service, value spa concept – will also open at the PDTS Company-owned resort at a later date. Its four treatment rooms will include one Thai massage room and one foot massage room.

A spokesperson said: "The resort is located on the secluded Thong Tanote Beach, with views across to Koh Tan and Koh Mutsum - two renowned diving and snorkelling spots."

• Earlier this month, Centara Hotels and Resorts announced it was launching the new Cense by Spa Cenvaree concept at Centara Hotel and Convention Centre Khon Kaen.

Centara group director of spa operations Elaine Chua said: "Our vision for Cense is to deliver effective spa services at affordable costs, while satisfying the discerning requirements of today's business and leisure travellers."
