Committee to discuss 2012 ticket plans
London 2012's ticketing strategy plans are to be discussed at a meeting of the London Assembly's economic development, culture, sport and tourism committee this afternoon (24 February).
The London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG) is expected to publish its proposals for the distribution of the 7.7 million tickets being made available for the Games later this year. A further 1.5 million tickets are due to be offered for the Paralympic Games, and the committee will be discussing how affordable the tickets are likely to be, as well as how many will be made available to local residents in the five host boroughs.
The committee will also discuss the proposed benefits of the 2012 Cultural Olympiad as part of the meeting. Image: Olympic Delivery Authority/London 2012
