Premium health and wellness group, David Lloyd Clubs, is set to open three new UK clubs before the end of the year in London, Essex and Kent.

The developments form part of David Lloyd Clubs’ ongoing investment in its UK and European estate, supporting the brand’s strategy for sustained growth and innovation across the health, fitness, and wellbeing sector.

The company is continuing to upgrade existing clubs and introduce new concepts across the UK and Europe. Speaking at the HCM Summit last month, CEO, Russell Barnes, talked about the premiumisation of the brand and plans to keep raising standards. He said that members are happy to pay above-inflation price increases because of the perceived value.

Each of the new clubs will feature extensive, state-of-the-art gyms, swimming pools – with outdoor pools at Harlow (Essex) and Herne Bay (Kent) – premium racquet facilities and dedicated family zones.

The Signature Classes Collection, including Ign1te, Spirit, Rhythm, Cyclone, and Blaze, will be run alongside reformer Pilates and small-group training.

Each of the clubs will feature a Spa Retreat, the brand's wellness concept which includes crystal steam rooms, hydro pools, Himalayan salt saunas, and experience showers.

David Lloyd Colliers Wood opens this month and will serve the Merton Abbey area in southwest London. David Lloyd Harlow, in Essex, and David Lloyd Herne Bay, in Kent, will both open in December.
