Equinox Hotels heads to Nashville as it drives to roll out its fitness, spa and lifestyle hotels
Fitness, wellness and spa brand, Equinox, has been announced as the operator of a new luxury hotel in Nashville, US.
This will be the the second property for Equinox Hotels, following the opening of its flagship in New York City’s Hudson Yards in March 2019.
Equinox Hotels has plans to expand to 33 locations globally over the next decade. Last year, the company announced plans to open a resort on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba in north-west Saudi Arabia.
The Nashville property will occupy one of three towers at the heart of a new mixed-use development called Park Place in the city's SoBro, neighbourhood.
Developers The Congress Group and Taurus Investment Holdings – the team behind Nashville’s Four Seasons Hotel and Residences – are leading the project that will be located on a 2.1-acre site acquired for US$35 million (€30 million, £26 million) in 2022.
Other luxury hospitality brands are also coming to Nashville, with a St Regis hotel and residences from Marriott International due to break ground this year and a mixed-use project called Paseo South Gulch that will have a Pendry hotel and residences by SomeraRoad and is due to open 2027.
The 245-key Park Place Equinox Hotel Nashville will have an 18,000sq ft Equinox Club and spa, a rooftop pool, private residential amenities and the brand’s signature lounge.
An adjacent residential tower will have 239 luxury condominiums and 480 apartments.
There will also be 50,000sq ft of public parks and green space, as well as a 962-space underground parking garage.
