Disney rebrands stores as entertainment centres

Disney plans to convert its stores into interactive Imagination Parks providing entertainment to shoppers.
All 340 Disney stores in the US and Europe will have computer chips installed in selected product packaging to trigger interactive features. Children will also be able to watch film clips and chat with Disney stars via satellite.
The US$1m (£626,000, 671,500 euro) initiative will be rolled out in May 2010 in a bid to entice shoppers to spend more money on Disney products
In addition, plans to open a new flagship store at Times Square in New York, US, are under discussion.
