Dormy House spa refreshed with new programming and nature-inspired thermal suite
Rural countryside retreat Dormy House in the Cotswolds, UK, has reopened its House Spa to guests following a month-long renovation project.
A new contrast bathing journey
Following the revamp, guests can embark on a nature-inspired contrast bathing journey at the spa’s brand-new multisensory thermal suite, realised by Ursell Pools and Wellness.
Facilities include a new aromatic steamroom, an experience shower with a forest mist and a Himalayan salt sauna.
The offering has been completed with a TechnoAlpin Snow Sky snow shower so guests can cool off under a flurry of thick snowflakes as the final step of their journey.
Facilities already available at the spa include a 16m infinity-edged indoor pool lined with loungers, The Greenhouse spa cafe and an outdoor terrace featuring a hydrotherapy hot tub and electric fireplace.
New treatments The refresh project has also seen the spa team up with Proverb Skin; a sustainable, organic and vegan skincare and spa brand.
Proverb was launched to benefit users’ health, performance and recovery as well as the environment. The vegan brand is partnered with a collection of spas across the UK and UAE, ranging from Beaverbrook and Four Seasons Dubai International Finance Centre to Cafe Royal and Atlantis, The Palm.
Already featuring a collection of TempleSpa rituals, the House Spa’s menu has gained three 60-minute Proverb treatments, including two massages and a facial, called Natural Facelift Facial, which draws inspiration from HIIT workouts and features vigorous targeted massage techniques to help lift, contour and tone the skin.
Spa manager Bobby Griffiths said: “At Dormy House we pride ourselves on staying at the forefront of innovation and this year's refresh of House Spa delivers just that.
“We really wanted to develop a more immersive wellness experience for our guests, incorporating elements of science and nature to deliver a unique thermal journey. Our guests can now return to nature and experience a true fire and ice experience in the Thermal Suite.”
The refresh project was helmed by Dormy House owner and design director, Nette Reynolds, with support from architecture and design firm Modern Living.
