Elemis to operate BA’s terminal spas
Elemis has entered into a five-year agreement with British Airways (BA) to operate Elemis-branded terminal spa facilities within BA lounges at Heathrow Airport in London, UK, and John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York, US.
From October 2007, Elemis will launch at a total of five existing BA terminal lounge spas – four at arrival and departure lounges at two Heathrow terminals and one at the JFK departure lounge.
In addition, from this October, Elemis is to provide its brand amenities onboard BA’s long-haul business class cabin, Club World.
There are also three new Elemis Travel Spa facilities planned at BA’s new home – London Heathrow, Terminal 5 – which Elemis will operate and all of which are scheduled to open in March 2008.
A range of exclusive BA treatments for men and women, creating a two-tiered menu, has been designed by Elemis.
The services at the terminal spa facilities will be provided to British Airways passengers on a complimentary basis.
Prior to this deal, BA had a six-year partnership for passenger amenity bags and airport lounge spas with Molton Brown, which ended in September.
The hair and skincare brand did not retender the partnership, opting to refocus its spa division resources on expansion into the US and key Asian markets.
