SenSpa's stress management package
SenSpa at Careys Manor in the New Forest, UK, has created a stress management day package, which it plans to offer to both individuals and corporate groups throughout 2010.
The days incorporate a three-hour workshop session run by Neil Shah, founder of the UK's Stress Management Society.
The workshop will comprise advice on how to recognise the signs, symptoms and the impact of stress, as well as guidelines on nutrition, exercise and healthy living. It will also include techniques - such as breathing exercises, stretching based on yoga, self massage and visulisation - to reduce and cope with stress. Following this participants will have access to the spa's hydrotherapy facilities to truly unwind.
The days will be typically scheduled midweek to boost off peak business. There are seven initially planned.
SenSpa director, Lina Lotto, said: "Spas are a valuable antidote to stress. Sometimes we have to take ourselves out of our everyday situation in order to deeply relax. The workshop demonstrates practical and proven ways to minimise stress and build resilience to pressure. It is suitable for both individuals and companies who want to train and reward their staff. Companies are asking more of their staff and often with fewer resources, so there is a necessity to provide an infrastructure which trains and supports employees to cope with pressure."
