Worthing Council has confirmed that its three theatres will be operated in-house after none of the alternative bids received offered the required savings.

The theatres' management team have now been asked to prepare a business plan that delivers substantial savings and lowers the level of subsidies needed to keep the venues open.

Worthing Council leader Paul Yallop said: "I really look forward to working with the theatre staff over the next year or so to help bring their business plan to fruition."
