Emirates to launch first site outside Dubai
Wolgan Valley Resort & Spa, Emirates Hotels & Resorts' first luxury conservation-based resort outside Dubai, in the heart of Australia's Blue Mountains, is set to open on 1 October.
The resort will include a Technogym-supplied gym, featuring a range of CV equipment with Internet connections, LCD touch screens and digital TV receivers.
The gym will also house a free weights area and a studio area with mats for stretching, relaxation, yoga and pilates.
Other leisure facilities include also a 25m outdoor pool, an indoor/outdoor relaxation deck, a steam room and sauna and an icy plunge pool.
The resort incorporates as many ecologically sustainable design principles as possible, including rainwater collection, full recycling of all domestic water, heat exchange technology to reduce electricity consumption and the use of solar panels for all hot water systems - the resort has more than 100 solar energy units.
The Timeless Spa, Emirates' own brand, offers six double treatment rooms. All fitness and spa facilities are for use by hotel guests only.
