Energy Fitness Professionals (EFP) is set to open a new club in July, on the site of Playgolf’s recently opened Northwick Park six-hole golf course in Harrow.

Uniq Fitness will be a 5,000sq ft (465sq m) club, including a fitness suite – to be supplied by Life Fitness and SportsArt – a studio and a treatment room. EFP has invested £500,000 in the facility, which aims to attract 1,000 members.

To reflect its partnership with Playgolf, Uniq Fitness will offer specific golf-related exercise programmes, as well as one-to-one training programmes for people that want to improve their golf.

To help facilitate these programmes, the club – which has been designed by Zynk Design Consultants – features specific clustered and zoned areas to promote certain training routines.

The club also operates a virtual trainer facility, which enables instructors to record member’s personal training exercises so that they can be accessed at any time by the member.

This summer, EFP is due to refurbish the Brunel University Gym, again in partnership with Zynk Design.
