Enterprise to sell seven London pubs
Enterprise Inns is to sell at auction the freehold of seven of its London pubs, with a 35 year leaseback arrangement to itself.
The deal also contains a lessee's break option in the 25th year at six months' notice and a rent review in 2014. The leases on all of the sites are currently held by private individuals, apart from one - the 'Pembroke Castle' in Primrose Hill - which is sub-let to The Barracuda Pub Company.
In addition to the 'Pembroke Castle', the sale includes the Grade II-listed 'Red Lion' in St. James's, 'Bell' in the City of London and 'Rising Sun' in St. Pauls; plus the 'Edgar Wallace' on Essex Street, Temple; 'Pelican' in Fulham; and 'Uxbridge Arms' in Notting Hill. Guide prices range from £1.3m-£1.35m to £1.6m-£1.7m, with rents varying between £90,000 and £120,000.
