Ettamogah Pub hits 18th birthday
The Ettamogah Pub on the Bruce Highway on Australia’s Sunshine Coast is celebrating its 18th birthday this month.
One of Queensland’s most famous tourists attractions, the pub was originally created in a cartoon strip in the Australasian Post by Ken Maynard in 1959 and was turned into reality in November 1989.
Starting out as a roadside stop, the property is now a lunch, dinner and function venue.
“We’re entering our Christmas party season and we’re booked heavily throughout December. Most of our groups come back year after year because they’re so happy with our service and individuality,” said Sue Battams, Aussie World Sales Manager.
“Over the years we’ve developed a very strong and loyal customer base. We have locals who come here every Friday night for the entertainment or to have a great meal in our bar & grill upstairs. For our 18th birthday we invite all Sunshine Coast locals to join us – it’ll be a night to remember,” said Peter Raymond Ettamogah Pub Manager.
