Hiking and outdoor running and walking programmes will be available for guests and members, as well as an on-site grass tennis court.
The Cunliffe-Lister family has owned the estate since the 1880s and Lady Masham has led the design of the project, with consultancy provided by Nick Holmes, formerly of Rockcliffe Hall, and Liz Holmes of Commercial Spa Strategies.
The club and spa will also have a terrace bar and restaurant, and shop.

Lady Masham said: "The country club and spa will enhance what we already have at Swinton and we are sure that more people will come to enjoy, not only the spa facilities, but the parkland, gardens, dining and shopping experience we are creating. It is important to us that this new development is accessible and reflects our environment and our heritage."
