Famous London rock venue for sale
The Bull & Gate, the famous rock ‘n’ roll pub/venue in Kentish Town, London, is up for sale for the first time in nearly 30 years.
The site – which has played host to bands such as The Libertines, PJ Harvey, Manic Street Preachers and Coldplay – is being put on the market by landlords Patrick & Margaret Lynskey.
The Lynskeys have asked Shelley Sandzer to act as agents to help find a buyer “who will continue to build on the traditions of the Bull & Gate as a community mainstay and a must-play musical venue for singers and bands”.
“We’re proud that the Bull & Gate is now on the musical roadmap,” said Mrs Lynskey. “However, now it’s time for us to step back and let someone else take it on.”
Nick Weir of Shelley Sandzer added: “This is an incredible opportunity to acquire a public house that has also become a leading music venue. This is, in effect, a crucible for musical talent and a place where customer and fans can see the talent up close. The property also offers future development opportunities.”
