Football League Awards shortlist revealed
The shortlist for the 2009 Football League Awards has been unveiled, with more than 30 clubs in the running to pick up a prize at this year's event.
Judging panels evaluated a total of 240 entries across seven award categories – a 22 per cent increase on the number of applicants compared with the 2008 Awards. Eight clubs have been shortlisted in more than one category. The award categories include Family Club of the Year, Sky Digital Media Best Digital Communication and Press Association Sport Best Matchday Programme, as well as Community Club of the Year and Perform Best Fan Marketing Campaign.
Winners of the Football League Awards, which also incorporates FourFourTwo magazine's Top 50 Football League Players, will be announced on 29 March at Grosvenor House on Park Lane, central London.
