The County Sports Partnership (CSP) Network - West Midlands has been chosen to deliver support for one of the region's 2012 legacy schemes.

Community Games has been designed for the region in a bid to celebrate the Olympic heritage of Much Wenlock in Shropshire, which is thought to be the inspiration for the modern Games. The Legacy Trust UK initiative will incorporate a range of sports and cultural activities, backed by CSP Network - West Midlands and to be co-ordinated by communities.

Chris Child, partnership director at Energize Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin, said: "We will be doing everything we can to support local communities as they organise their Games and we want to ensure that the Games complement our work supporting people to find innovative ways to inspire everyone to be more active."
