The Glasgow 2014 Organising Committee for the XX Commonwealth Games has selected David Grevemberg to head up its team as its new permanent chief executive.

Grevemberg will take up the post with immediate effect, following the resignation of former chief executive John Scott earlier this year due to an "error of judgement". Glasgow 2014 chose Odgers Berndston to undertake an international head hunting process as part of its search, with Grevemberg holding off six other shortlisted applicants.
