Hertsmere launches Get Active UK
Hertsmere Leisure is taking part in the Fitness Industry Association and Sport England’s joint initiative offering adults free access to fitness facilities.
Get Active UK is running for a month until 23 April and lets people try out activities for free at their local centres.
The Furzefield Centre, The Venue in Borehamwood and Bushey Grove Leisure Centre are all taking part in the scheme.
The leisure trust launched the campaign at The Venue, with Judo Paralympian and Sport England Sporting Champion Ian Rose, Saracens 1st XV player Ben Skirving and children from Summerswood Primary School.
Eve Rodwell-Davies, Hertsmere Leisure’s marketing manager, said: “Get Active UK is a perfect opportunity for people to come along and experience for themselves how easy it can be to get active and have some fun doing it - and it’s all for free.
“Whether you want to lose a little weight, give yourself the chance to do something with the family or simply exercise to get rid of stress, it’s a great way to get in shape.” Details: www.hertsmereleisure.co.uk
