Hilton Hotels Corporation has signed an agreement with Shanghai Li Xing Hotel Company which will see Hilton manage the group’s newest hotel under its Conrad brand.

The design of the Conrad Shanghai, scheduled to open in 2008, will be inspired by traditional Chinese motifs.

The hotel will feature 362 bedrooms, an urban spa and two standalone annexes featuring food and beverage and leisure facilities.

It will be the third Conrad hotel in China, following the Conrad Hong Kong and the Conrad Beijing, which is also scheduled to open in 2008.
