ICC confirms Dubai relocation
The International Cricket Council has confirmed that it is to leave its offices at Lord's to take up office space in Dubai in the United Arab Emirates.
The ICC is to close operations at its two existing offices in favour of a single location. Until now, the cricket administration and anti-corruption elements were run from Lord's in London, with the commercial and financial arms based in Monaco.
ICC president Ehsan Mani said that the move would enable the organisation to better serve members. "The board has been committed to unifying its administration for some time, and after considering a range of offers, were of the view that Dubai provided the best way forward for the international game."
The ICC will be located at the Dubai Media City before building and occupying new premises at the Dubai Sports City in around two years' time.
