IWM Duxford gears up for special air show
The 90th anniversary air show at the Imperial War Museum (IWM) Duxford in Cambridge, UK, will take place on 6-7 September.
The annual event showcases the best of both modern and historic military and civil aircraft and also includes examples of planes based at RAF Duxford.
This year will also mark the first appearance at the airshow of the Vulcan XH558.
Other participating aircraft will include: Hawk, Hunter, Seafire, Dakota, Bouchon, Bristol Fighter, Gladiator, Meteor, F86 Sabre, Chinook, Swordfish, Lancaster, Hurricane, Spitfire, Nimrod, Glider, Yak and the PC-12.
The Red Devils will also do a parachute drop on 7 September.
IWM Duxford is an aviation museum that also houses collections of tanks, military vehicles and naval exhibits.
A heritage site, IWM Duxford was first used as an airfield during the First World War and later played a vital role in the Second World War as both an RAF fighter station and later as a US fighter base.
