Impulse Leisure is set to complete its revamped Corringham Leisure Centre in Thurrock, Essex, following a £1.1m investment.

On 20 March, the company will launch phase one of the redevelopment; a two storey, 80-station fitness suite, equipped by Technogym, and an aerobics studio. The facility replaces the former sports hall, which has been converted with the addition of a mezannine floor.

Further new developments set to open in April include the Health and Beauty rooms, a café, a crèche and a new sauna and steamroom.

The existing indoor pool has been fitted with the computer-aided drowning detection system Poseidon, while work has also been carried out to create a new frontage for the centre.

This summer, Impulse Leisure is scheduled to embark on redevelopments of its Lancing Manor and Southwick sites in west Sussex. Details: www.impulseleisure.co.uk
