Freedom Leisure given Investors in People accolade
Leisure Trust Freedom Leisure has become the latest UK fitness enterprise to be awarded the Investors In People accolade.
Over the past 18 months, Freedom Leisure has expanded its business taking on a number of new local authority partners and was commended by Investors in People for having a ‘strong senior management team’ and ‘well embedded processes which have enabled the business to successfully grow’.
The trust was also recognised as ‘a highly aspirational company with a great deal of passion for making leisure accessible and available to the community’.
It now joins a growing group of fitness operators and training companies – such as The Gym Group, Lifetime Training, Jubilee Hall Trust, Personal Touch Fitness and Origin Fitness (previously Anytime Leisure) – to have previously been accredited by Investors in People.
Launched in 1991, Investors in People is a best practice people management standard, offering accreditation to organisations that adhere to its framework.
Freedom Leisure’s managing director Ivan Horsfall-Turner said: “At a time when we have had growth as an organisation, we are fully committed to developing every aspect of our business and that includes ensuring every member of staff is valued and supported.”
