HealthCity, a Netherlands-based fitness company continues their staged withdrawal from the German market, selling off two of their three clubs in Cologne to Just Fit.

All 35 employees and the nearly 5,000 members will automatically be transferred to Just Fit following the acquisition on 1 August 2018.

The gyms will be renamed Just Fit 13 and Just Fit 15 and renovated with new functional areas and a Milon circle added. Just Fit 13 will be moving venue from Barbarossaplatz to Zulpicher Platz Cologne.

HealthCity is in the process of completely leaving the German gym market, while Just Fit continues to grow its presence.

The takeover means that Just Fit, one of North Rhine-Westphalia's biggest fitness chains, will expand its franchise to 23 clubs employing nearly 800 people with over 65,000 members, making it one of the biggest fitness chains in Germany despite being a regional rather than national company.
