KLAFS Introduces Tangram - Futuristic Spa Design
German sauna and spa supplier KLAFS recently presented its take on individualism at the Milan Furniture Fair 2012 (Internazionale de Mobile 2012) with the launch of its new Tangram spa range.
Combining sauna, steam bath, shower area and relaxation zone, the range has been designed as an “expression of modern lifestyle”.
Tangram has been designed to follow current architectural trends – which include the merging of individual areas into each other and the creation of beneficially connected living units.
The new Tangram spa combination by KLAFS reflects this by having a transparent entrance to the wet areas. The large glass front provides a view of the interior, consisting of sauna, steam bath and a shower area, which combines both bathing forms.
KLAFS designer Martin Schultheiss said: “The steam bath is dominated essentially by the strict geometric structures and the material characteristics of glass, metal and stone.
“In contrast, the floral, irregular golden pattern on a black background has a strong emotional impact.”
The controls of the spa combination is based on the Touchcontrol Professional system, with colour touch screen, an especially large monitor and an intuitive user interface.
It has been designed to save energy and operating costs by starting the individually programmed bathing experience at the simple touch of a button.
There is an emphasis on sustainability too, with the installation of the green sauna package and the green steam package in the steam bath - energy consumption is reduced noticeably.
