Kieser Training has continued the European rollout of its medical and preventative strength training concept by opening it first site in The Netherlands.

The site was opened last month in Eindhoven by a successful franchisee who was looking for a new challenge after having established 12 facilities across Germany, says managing director of Kieser Training UK, David Fritz. “This is a pilot study and much will depend on its progress. But there should be a market for 20 sites in The Netherlands,” Fritz said.

The new facility follows the company’s standard layout and is equipped with a minimum of 50 exercise machines and two medical machines. It also follows Kieser’s strict fit-out concept with utilitarian, non-nonsense interior design.

Meanwhile, the company plans to enter the Spanish market and is expected to select a site in the next few months. “We want to establish a firm foothold in Europe and then move overseas,” says Fritz.
