L’Occitane debuts first cruise ship spa
French skincare brand L’Occitane has opened its first cruise spa in Myanmar onboard the Sanctuary Ananda.
The Thambyadine Spa by L’Occitane, named after a paddle steamer in the old Irrawaddy Flotilla, is located on the Yangon Deck and offers two treatment rooms for guests of the 21-suite river cruise ship.
The spa menu has been designed to embrace traditional Burmese therapies that stay true to the L’Occitane experience; a signature Burmese massage uses a firm technique to relieve aches and pains. Other therapies include reflexology and the Immortelle Secret of Youth facial.
The spa is a natural extension of the L’Occitane brand, offering authentic ingredients fused with traditional therapies, to offer a “true voyage of the senses,” said Helene Goetzelmann, general manager of international spa for L’Occitane.
L’Occitane’s spa network includes 92 spas in 30 countries, with flagship spas in France, Hong Kong and Brazil, as well as 'Petit Spas' connected to retail stores and Spas by L’Occitane in five-star hotels.
