Langham resort and spa opens in Krabi
Langham Hotels International (LHI) has launched its first Langham Place Resort and spa in Thailand as part of its ongoing expansion plans for south east Asia, following a management contract signed with Rawi Warin Resort and Spa Company.
The new Langham Place Eco Resort and Chuan Spa resort is located on Lanta Yai Island, in Krabi province, in Southern Thailand.
The resort has 165 bedrooms and villas and will be operated in a manner that is as environmentally sustainable as possible.
Langham Hotels International is a subsidiary of the Hong Kong-based group Great Eagle Holdings (GEH), which is headed up by Dr KS Lo.
Spanning four continents, GEH currently has eight properties with more than 2,7000 bedrooms in six gateway cities.
D KS Lo said: “This is the first step for LHI in creating a presence in Thailand. We aim to increase our investments in the country through building our own hotels, joint venture partnerships and acquiring further management contracts.”
