Leading Hotels unveils list of Leading Spas
Luxury hospitality organisation The Leading Hotels of the World has unveiled the list of hotels which it has given Leading Spa accreditation to for 2006.
Of 106 properties which applied for certification, 85 passed the organisation's anonymous inspection process encompassing more than 200 criteria.
Hotels which have received leading spa accreditation for the first time include the Hotel Martinez in Cannes, France; Park Hotel Bremen in Germany; The Oberoi, Sal Hasheesh, Red Sea, Egypt; St David's Hotel in Cardiff, Wales; the Langham Hotel Melbourne, Australia and One&Only Reethi Rah, North Malé Atoll, Republic of Maldives.
The initiative was launched last November and 45 properties made the list for the second year running.
Marshall Calder, senior vice president, marketing, said: “Our marketing services department is currently developing attractive new products and programmes to promote the services of the Leading Spas.
